RoodWitZwart Collectief was a collaboration between bands, zines and leftwing politics. This compilation was released in 1984 and in particular Jetset and Bloedbad ar my faves. I got my copy from the long defunct Vacuum Distro a few years back.

First time I saw Jabberwockey was when they supported Nine Pound Hammer in Vera. I believe it's when they recorded Live At The Vera. Here we have four ep's and a split with the Firebirds. Great stuff for sure.

Deformed Conscience were a fast and brutal crust band from the 90's. One of my faves, that’s for sure! Adversity Records 1993.
There’s a 2xLP collection of most all of their material including songs from the split ep's, the No Excuse for Suffering demo, their self titled ep, this one and some comp tracks. Members of this band went on to form such bands as State of Fear and Hail of Rage.

I'm not that old school to be totally into early 80's Dutch punk but i just love the music on this one. A classic one. Released by Kangaroo Records from Amsterdam !
Some history:
Without doubt jesus and the gospelfuckers were amsterdam's most infamous and obscure band. They started out in 1980 as a pistols influenced punk band,not long after that they discovered the mighty discharge!,their all time favorite band. The discharge influence is definitely there,but with a style all of their own, great raw musicianship and gliding guitarsolos. The band was very infamous, because somehow they always managed to get into fights.
They didn't have any problems finding trouble. Because of all the controversy and violence, they changed their name later into Genocide Express , who have 3 songs on the pushead's classic compilation lp Cleanse the bacteria. Not long after that, most band members started Agent Orange, who released 2 7"s: Your mother sucks cock in hell (Graaf Hendrik records) and VD (New Wave)
The gospelfuckers kind of grew into a myth over the years, also because they only released a demo tape. Many "popular" labels wanted to release it, but their (former band members) didn't care that much, so kangaroo had to push them a little bit for your pleasure. Complete discography inludes the demo, both agent orange 7"s, Genocide Express comp songs,and unreleased tracks. 23 songs total.LP comes with huge poster and 12 page booklet with lots of photos and biography. Enjoy some of hollands best punk/hardcore from the early eighties.

Just looking through my CD's i stumbled upon the one by Insult (the dutch one) called 'The moshpit is our sabbath'. Released in the 90's by Balowski Records. Blistering grind. Short and to the point. They used to play a lot around Holland and it was always fun to see em play. Great guys. Most of em are still active in music. The man behind the label was Gomorrah-button-Roy who released stuff by Insult, BSE and Point of Few. Just go !

I've seen Dandruff!! in the Glasfabriek, but I can't remember exactly when. Were they opening up for another band? It beat's me. I do remember they played an extremely tight set and put out a great vibe. Punkrock with not your typical lyrics, Tophole Records, 1993. They also had some tracks on comps and another cd, which I never bothered to check out.

Total Ramones worship. And along with the Richies from Germany the best in the genre. The songs have that big and simple guitar attack, straight ahead drumming, and snotty but otherwise outstanding vocals that made the Ramones so great. Released on Evil Clown in 1994. There's a discogaphy named Heil Head! which has nur hits.

Next time I'll try to play the same songs that the rest of the band is playing

The year was 1989. These guys just released Leave Scars and played the Simplon in Groningen (w. Acid Reign & Nuclear Assualt). What a power, amazing. Riff after riff, lead after lead, solo after solo. And the drumming. Oh man. The drumming. Also Gene plays some mean table soccer/fussbal. This dl however is their best effort, in my opinion anyway. They take no prisoners and don't hold back, a classic.

This is where Poison Idea slows it down a little, add some rock/metal to mix it up and create a classic that still stands up. It just adds to the brutality and just as intense and nihilistic as their earlier records. No filler, all killer. Definitely one of my alltime faves.

Aah the almighty Sinisterrrr! Essential Dutch death cult underworld abominators Sinister! Here some stuff from the early days. The Perpetual Damnation demo from 1990 and the split ep with Monastery (members from Sinister & Entombed) from 1991. It has the same songs, oh well. I also caught them live a couple of times, with Awakening in Stadskanaal '91, at the legendary Metal Blast festival in Coevorden '92, the Klepperrock festival in Hardenberg '93 which were all a blast.

It was actually the Hot & Heavy album, a compilation from 1983, that got me into this German band. I bought that record for my brothers' 11th (or 12th?) birthday. It had great songs like Catch Your Train, Polar Nights and Speedy's Coming, hard rock combined with catchy melodies. This album Virgin Killer from 1976 is a true masterpiece. There's something about the original artwork, hmm... Check it out.

Pestilence - Consuming Impulse LP

In 1989 dutch band Pestilence released Consuming Impulse on Roadracer Records. T was their second album after Malleus Maleficarum which was more brutal thrash as the two demo's. This one's a death metal classic. Things got alot heavier and more haunting. And the vocals... the sickening, twisted growling vocals.
I first saw Pestilence with Autopsy and Bolt Thrower in 1990. Spending the night at my cousin's house in Groningen. Whenever we went to a show in Groningen we always could crash at her house. Smirnoff, Studio Sport, Ajax, it was always great fun. And I remember the legendary Klepperrock festival in Hardenberg 1992 with Entombed and Disharmonic Orchestra.
A VPRO television show comes to mind, hilarious: 'Mag ik wel voor een gulden patat, met mayonaise?'.

Iron Lung is for me one of the most outstanding extreme hardcore bands of the last years. They've released a lot of split EP's, LP's, a full length and there's still more to come. The new LP is coming out on Prank Records. Check the labels website http://www.prankrecords.com/ for info. The 2 members of the band manage to come up with music that's intense, freaky, crazy, fast, slow, basically a lot but overall they are brutal. A lot of records are still available and i hate putting up records you can still buy if you just google or check myspace or your local record dealer. This specific cassette is limited to only 100 copies and long out of print, that's why i'm putting this up. It's live but the recording is good ! Enterruption Records gave birth to this live cassette from IRON LUNG recorded in October of 2001 at Burnt Ramen in Richmond, California. FxOxBx - Fastcore on the beach EP

Fuck on the Beach's first release on the US label Slap A Ham made quite an impression. Lightningfast hardcore from Japan with a manic twist. A lot of bands from Japan have a nice twist that makes it standing above the crowd. I've seen em live in 1999 on the last Fiesta Grande fest and some shows around that and they were great every time. The outfits were matching and the whole i love powerviolence theme surrounding the band was so cheesy it was funny. They've released some full lengths and a shitload of split EP's. Mysto Dysto - No Aids In Hell demo

I love this demo, great memories. In 1987 my friends and I listened to a lot of speed and thrash metal. At some point my friend got a demotape from a guy he went to school with and we played it all the time. It was a local band from the Coevorden/Emmen area. About 15 years later I got an original copy. Before this Mysto Dysto recorded another demo called 'Heavy Guys Dont look back'. I have never heard it, if anyone has a copy, hook me up! They also recorded an album 'The Rules Have Been Disturbed', it's so-so. It was rereleased in 2006 with the No Aids In Hell demo as bonustracks. Quickly after that they changed their name in Mandator and recorded two great albums. I have never seen Mysto Dysto live, but Mandator about 4 or 5 times. In Aswil, Emmercompascuum and in Sparrow, Klazienaveen amongst others.

Actually this 10" is called 'Stinky Fingers'. Released in 1995 on Fatal Erection Records, the legendary label that gave us the fantastic Poison Idea 'Pick your King' ep and the 'Record Collectors are Pretentious Assholes 12".
The TRBNGR songs are on the 'Ass Cobra' album as well, which came out after this. And I believe it was in '96 or '97 when they played the Glasfabriek in Groningen. About Flying Crap... this is the only stuff I know from them.

I remember them playing Teejo's Barn in Erica, Holland in 1998 on their European tour. A show set up by a bunch of friends. They were a couple of shy Japanese boys with afros, who completely thrashed the place! Once they got their gele vla... unstoppable garage punkrock!

This is the 5th ep from these Japanese band. Released by Wallabies Records in 1995. After their '96 Terminal Boredom album I lost track of them.
